The story
The 912 arrived in 1965 with the same body as the 911, but with the air-cooled flat-four derived from the 356. Lighter at the rear and cheaper, it outsold the 911 in its early years.
This one arrived at the workshop on a trailer. The work covered the body and the interior, back to the original look. Every stage was photographed, and the photos were handed to the owner together with the car.
The restoration step by step
The green and the light interior
- Step 1 of 2
The body
The bodywork brings the 912 back to its original look: an even green on every panel, chromed bumpers, the Porsche and 912 scripts in place on the engine lid.
- Step 2 of 2
The light interior
Seats and rear backrests are trimmed in a light colour with vertical pleats; the floor has sand-coloured carpet.

More restorations
This is only a small selection: over the years Mimmo has restored many more cars and trucks, and we'll keep adding them from the workshop's photo books.
