The story

The vans of the past delivered bread, fruit and workshop tools: simple vehicles, built to work, and rare today precisely for that reason, because almost all of them were used to the end and then scrapped.

This one was returned to original in every area: body, paint in cream and brown with light-coloured wheels, and mechanics. An example of the historic commercial vehicles the workshop restores alongside cars.

The restoration step by step

Cream and brown, back on the road

  1. Step 1 of 2

    Body and two-tone paint

Panels put right and the body painted in its two original colours: cream above, brown below, with a dividing line that follows the shape of the van right round to the rear doors.

  2. Step 2 of 2

    Mechanics and wheels

Mechanics overhauled and the disc wheels repainted in the light colour: the van is ready to travel again, seen here on the workshop's recovery truck.
